On Line Design is currently assisting our large CPG New York client with a full-time Data Analyst Role. This is a 6 month contract role with opportunity for an extension of the contract.
Work is currently a hybrid position but must be local to their facility in Melville. Only local applicants will be considered. There is no relocation for this role. Must be U.S. Authorized.

Position Description:
The Value Realization and Optimization (VRO) organization is responsible for the execution of cost/risk initiatives, requalification’s of OTC products, production transfers and processing support to various Global Third Party Manufacturers, manufacturing sites and fulfillment centers for marketed products including makeup, skincare, and bath& body.
This position will support and deliver enterprise-wide value creation projects encompassing cost, sustainability, and process optimization initiatives utilizing data analytics and proven methodologies, (Ideation workshops, Lean/CI, and Project Management) to drive efficient value delivery, and robust collaboration across the E2E Engineering Group, Supply Chain, R&D, and Brands
The VRO M&D (Manufacturing & Distribution) group supports key supply chain value creation partners with our global supply chain nodes (manufacturing facilities and distribution centers) and brands within the company to deliver cost savings through product modification, process optimization, and innovation. The main job function of a VRO Analyst will be to conduct data analysis, project management support, and facilitation for VRO M&D projects.

- Smart Sheets and Power BI experience.
- Analytical experience
- Project Management
Preferred:
- Background in Engineering, Business or Finance or another technical discipline.
- Effective collaborator with technical and commercial functions including Marketing, Plant Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Product Development.
- Extensive knowledge of basic statistics, MS Excel, MS Access, and PowerPoint is necessary. Experience with Python and machine learning is a big plus.
- Strong organizational skills are a must.
- Knowledge of supply chain is a plus. Supply chain encompasses manufacturing process, equipment usage and manufacturing environment within Personal care / Beauty industry.
- Ability to recognize evolving business needs, anticipate issues & develop plans to address.
- The role will also be trained on executing ship testing and analysis.
