LVI has a great opportunity for a Senior Estimator specializing in Commercial Roofing to join a reputable business based out of Philadelphia, PA. This client has been highly successful in the New Jersey/Philadelphia market, completing both commercial re-roofs and new construction projects. They are looking to add a Senior Roofing Estimator to their team as they approach the busy months. Job Summary:
As a Senior Estimator, you will lead the estimating team, generate detailed cost analyses, and scope of work estimates utilizing vendor and subcontractor quotes as well as site surveys. You will collaborate with the Sales Team, customers, and manufacturers to provide timely bids that meet specifications and requirements.
Responsibilities:
Leading and managing the estimating team
Overseeing the bid schedule
Reviewing existing roof drawings/takeoffs with roof techs
Obtaining and negotiating quotes from vendors
Completing spreadsheets/bids and conducting scope/proposal reviews
Communicating with the sales team on bid schedules, pricing, etc.
Assembling and submitting submittal packages when required
Preparing and setting up jobs for awarded bids, handing off budget/bid packages to Project Managers, and assisting with job set-up to ensure efficient job start-up
Requirements:
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in the Commercial Roofing market, with a strong focus on Estimation
In-depth technical knowledge of TPO, EPDM, and PVC systems, various methods of attachment, and Manufacturer warranty requirements
Proficiency with Edge Estimating software is a plus
Experience bidding on Cold Storage, Industrial, and Healthcare facilities
Ability to efficiently read and interpret plans and specifications
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical aspects of potential jobs to sales reps, and educate them on all technical aspects of new roofing/re-roofing projects to enhance their sales capabilities
