Summary
- The HR Generalist will support all Human Resources functions for the United Wheels portfolio of brands. This includes administering payroll, benefits, and leave, recruiting, and enforcing company policies and practices.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs. This includes 401k management and audits, as well as unemployment and workmen’s comp claim supervision.
- Develop and distribute organizational announcements.
- Service Awards.
- Oversight of company’s Commuter Incentive Program.
- Participate in the development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for company requirements.
- Suggest new procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of HR department and company.
- Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent work experience required. Three to Five years progressive HR Benefits & Compliance experience required. Project Management experience and/or PMP Certification preferred. A desire to get your hands dirty in a highly dynamic, fast-paced, rapidly growing business. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to consistently develop and maintain strong business partnerships. Strong technical, analytical, and planning skills. Strong business acumen and program management skills. This position will require approximately 5% of domestic travel. A passion for cycling and the outdoors is preferred.
