Overview: The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist III performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans that use a magnetic field and radio waves to take pictures of patient's body's interior. These MRI scans are used to investigate or diagnose conditions that affect soft tissue such as tumors or brain disorders. Working under moderate supervison, this role is responsible for accurate image acquisition and collaborates with the medical team to provide comprehensive diagnostic information for patient care.

Responsibilities:
Performs complex tasks associated with the operation of high field strength magnets and related equipment to produce special radiographic images of specific body parts.
Reviews and assesses patient medical histories to determine appropriate imaging parameters for accurate results.
Operates and maintains advanced MRI equipment, adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular maintenance checks to ensure precise and reliable imaging results.
Collaborates with medical professionals during MRI procedures, providing real-time imaging support to ensure accurate positioning and optimal imaging quality.
Records and documents all MRI scans and associated information in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), verifying charges and addressing discrepancies for smooth workflow.
To be considered for a Tech 2 or Tech 3 promotion, the team member should be fully proficient in all the normal and expected duties of their position. A team member should have shown an interest in further development, either by asking for additional tasks/responsibilities, volunteering, or some other show of self-motivation.

EDUCATION: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program.
EXPERIENCE: Required: Minimum 4 years

ARRT (MR), MRI Technologist ARMRIT(MR), ARMRIT(MR)
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross, or AHA Healthcare Provider
