Job Description:
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements within experience design, such as content design, design programs, design research and strategy, or product design. Review and analyze basic or tactical experience design assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, related to low-to-medium risk deliverables. Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Provide information to client personnel in experience design.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience design, content design, design programs, design research and strategy, or product design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
- We are looking for an accessibility Analyst and/or tester. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accessibility principles, excellent attention to detail, experience with various assistive technologies and show willingness to learn, understand and look to improve on the company’s current accessibility testing procedures and.
Additional Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript Proficiency in web accessibility evaluation tools such as WAVE, AXE, or JAWS. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Attention to detail, Commitment to improving digital accessibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accessibility Testing: Conduct thorough testing of digital content and software to ensure compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.2, Section 508).
- Analysis and Reporting: Analyze results from accessibility testing and provide detailed reports on findings, including areas of non-compliance and recommendations for improvement.
- Assistive Technology Testing: Evaluate digital products using assistive technologies like screen readers, voice recognition software, and other accessibility tools.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and track accessibility compliance across all digital platforms, ensuring that updates and new features meet accessibility requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with UX designers, developers, and product managers to document and address defects, as well as incorporate accessibility best practices into the design and development processes.
- Documentation: If asked, be willing to draft and/or maintain documentation related to accessibility standards, testing procedures, and compliance status.
