The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for designing and implementing business intelligence and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions, focusing on performance tuning, data modeling, and maintaining data architecture standards. This role involves architecting, testing, deploying, and supporting complex data integration solutions for various data management systems. The Senior Data Engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, provides technical expertise, and ensures high standards in software development processes. With a deep understanding of MSFT SQL Server, SSIS, Python, and cloud platforms like Azure and AWS, this position also plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s data integration capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, test, and deploy Data Integration solutions using MSFT SQL Server, SSIS, and Python.
- Architect and support ETL pipelines, ensuring robust data integration and transformation processes.
- Collaborate with technology teams to define and develop optimal data solutions.
- Apply data mining rules and create complex logic, system, and program flows.
- Implement and maintain operational and disaster-recovery procedures for data management systems.
- Lead the promotion of SQL Server best practices and standards within the organization.
- Provide technical support, documentation, and mentoring to less experienced staff.
- Participate in the review of code and systems to ensure adherence to design standards and functionality.
- Research and experiment with emerging Data Integration technologies and tools.
- Develop and execute unit test plans, tracking and resolving any processing issues.
- Communicate the status of work assignments to stakeholders and management.
- Lead complex technical projects and act as a subject matter expert in areas such as BI Production Reporting, Database Architecture, and Support.
- Maintain current knowledge of new developments in technology-related industries and participate in corporate quality and data governance programs.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience of data experience with a strong focus on MSFT SQL Server, SSIS, and Python scripting.
- Experience in data integration, ETL pipeline development, and cloud platforms like Azure.
- Experience in the healthcare domain.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet, SQL queries, database management, and flow-charting software.
- Advanced knowledge of data mapping techniques, computer operating systems, and decision support systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex data management systems.
- Strong communication skills for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- MS SQL Certification or other relevant certifications in current programming languages are preferred.
- Must be available for a hybrid work schedule with two days in the office and three days working remotely.
