Summary
The Quality Manager will be responsible for providing support in planning, coordinating, and overseeing the Quality, Environmental, and Safety management systems including but not limited to ISO, SFI, FSC, AiB, GMP, IPP, SHP, and applicable legal requirements
Key Activities
- Administer and maintain quality management systems based on ISO 9001, FSC, SFI, and AIB standard requirements keeping our audits and certifications up to date.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to develop a quality and safety training matrix, documentation, and training tracking method.
- Conduct Management review meetings as scheduled per ISO and AIB requirements.
- Maintain all audits and inspections for internal processes and procedures following up with Managers and Supervisors with any findings to ensure retraining happens or updated documentation gets done if needed..
- Develop, update, and distribute monthly reporting to all department’s performance charts
- Facilitate NCR and corrective action processes with all departments when quality issues arise including root cause analysis, problem solving, and resolution.
- Work with Suppliers and customers on surveys and compliance documentation that may be required.
- Lead process improvement teams in conjunction with Supervisors and Managers to eliminate problems and improve performance throughout the organization.
Preferred Skills
- Effective communication and presentation skills to all levels of the organization.
- Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Charting Software.
Educations & Experience
- B.S/A. in Quality Management or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a Quality Management Role.
- 5+ years of experience in the packaging industry preferred.
