Job Description
The Technical Application Engineer is responsible for providing application solutions, drawings, and technical support to Inside Sales & Contracts for Key Accounts on all aspects of valve actuators, their applications, with a focus on fluid power and associated controls and accessories.
Reporting to the Inside Sales & Contracts Supervisor, this role will have the opportunity to collaborate with Inside Sales on complex quotes, overseeing Contracts and Engineering to ensure that the bill of materials in AX for each order is correct. They will also act as a mentor/support resource to the Production Technicians and RSS on assembling and troubleshooting RFS applications.
As training is a key function of this position to help reduce and keep minimal the amount of support required by each department, this role demands a level of training be provided to each group were appropriate.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
- Technical education, a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred (other engineering fields or equivalent experience will also be considered).
- Ability and experience operating computer-aided design (CAD) software, Solid Edge preferable.
- 5 years’ experience or more in application engineering or inside sales is desired.
- Pneumatics/hydraulics applications engineering/controls experience a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365. Able to quickly learn & utilize business software and internal programs.
- Read, analyze and interpret customer supplied specifications, data sheets, drawings, and schematics.
