Job Summary
Company is in search of a Journeyman Electrician within the Rolla, MO area. We are seeking skilled Journeyman Electricians with 5-10 years of industrial manufacturing experience. Proof of formal training in specialty areas (i.e., PLC's, Automation, Instrumentation, etc.) is required. Candidates must have experience with 480 volts, 24 volt DC motors, and PLC variable speed drives. Position ranges 48-55/hr + OT. Day & night shift are available. Relocation assistance is available. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
- Connect electrical power to communication equipment, signalling devices and heating and cooling systems.
- Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, fixtures and other electrical components.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
- Maintain, repair, install and test switchgears, transformers, switch-board meters, regulators, electrical motors, generators, storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair electrical and electronic control systems and devices, isolate faults and remove & replace faulty components.
- Participate in the preparation and execution of Preventive Maintenance plans. Prepare requisition for the purchase of new or replacement parts, keep records updated, including entering electronic W/O's for all maintenance related activities including all PM's, Projects and D/T events in CMMS System.
- Work additional hours as necessary to maintain operations in emergency situations and through major planned shutdowns.
- Participate in specific training programs determined by the needs of the company, and to keep skills current.
- Possess or purchase the necessary tools to perform the job.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices
- Participate in continuous improvement (CI), Focused Improvement (FI), Breakdown Analysis (BDA) activities to determine root cause.
