Overview: The Assistant Controller is responsible for overseeing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial audits. Key duties include preparing for audits, addressing accounting discrepancies, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and generating relevant financial reports.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee payroll processes and manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support financial audits through meticulous preparation and documentation.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports.
- Assist the Controller by reviewing and analyzing financial records.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or a related field. CPA designation is a plus, but not required.
- ~5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
