Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Drive the technical direction of the team, making architectural decisions and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of our always-on SaaS product.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, clinical experts, and quality assurance, to define project requirements and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and improve development processes.
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies and methodologies of modern software development, ensuring that we are developing high-quality software to the highest standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience building medical imaging applications (CT/MRI preferred)
- 2+ years hands-on team leadership experience; 5+ years hands-on development experience.
- Strong programming skills, design principles and patterns, OOP, templates, multi-threading.
- Understanding of TCP/IP socket communication.
- Working knowledge of (relational) database schema design.
- Working knowledge of source control systems: GitHub or similar and CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
- Knowledge of medical standards, specifically: DICOM.
- Experience with C++ and/or Python.
- Familiarity with cloud (AWS) and interface architecture.
- Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate well with other architects, developers, product owners on a fast-paced, cross-functional, globally located team.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
