Job Title: Financial Reporting Analyst
Contract: 6 months (possible to convert)
Pay Rate range: $38-42/hour (eligible for OT)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Analyst with extensive experience in Financial Reporting and Fund Reporting. This role involves reviewing drafts of annual, semi-annual, and quarterly financial statements, as well as various forms required for registered investment companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fund financial information, experience in reviewing financial statements, and the ability to support senior team members and managers in financial administration tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review drafts of annual, semi-annual, and quarterly financial statements, along with required forms for registered investment companies.
- Provide support to senior team members and managers in managing funds and general fund financial information.
- Assist in the preparation and review of fund expenses, accruals, and invoices; coordinate adjustments with clients and the financial reporting team.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of fund administration processes, including board book preparation and procedures manuals.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and interpretations governing financial statements and disclosures, including the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Internal Revenue Code, GAAP, and Regulation S-X.
- Maintain awareness of regulatory changes affecting funds and communicate updates appropriately within the team.
- Collaborate with the Financial Reporting Team Leader and other department members to manage timetables and workflow.
- Support junior staff members by reviewing their work and providing guidance on internal policies, procedures, and systems.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree, preferably with a concentration in business or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mutual fund accounting or a related field, with at least 5+ years of prior financial reporting experience.
- Proven ability to problem-solve and recommend solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a client-focused team environment.
Schedule:
- Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in-office, 2 days working from home. Flexible with in-office days.
