Position Overview:
Control Air Enterprises LLC is seeking a Mid-Level Sheet Metal Estimator to join our Northern Division office in Hayward, California. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in sheet metal estimation within the HVAC industry and will work in a professional and collaborative office environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for sheet metal work, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Obtain and review supplier and subcontractor quotes for sheet metal components and services.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.
- Utilize computerized estimating systems and software to compile and present estimates.
- Monitor and analyze project costs to ensure they align with budgeted amounts.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary to gather essential project information.
- Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers, including suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.
- Stay current with industry trends, material costs, and new technologies related to sheet metal fabrication and installation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
- Proven experience as a sheet metal estimator within the HVAC industry.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and installation processes.
- Proficiency in computerized estimating systems and relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Quickpen/Accubid).
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Pay Range: $70,000 to $120,000 Salary
