Muth Law, PC is looking to add an Associate to its growing boutique Personal Injury Litigation practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Qualifications:
- JD required
- Michigan Bar Admission required
- 1-3 years of post-bar work preferred, litigation experienced appreciated.
- New attorneys will be considered with the right attitude toward growth in knowledge and skills.
- Desire to perform all aspects of civil litigation, including investigation, client interaction, civil discovery, motion and trial work.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and records, and the ability to explain and illustrate diagnoses of medical conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to empathize with emotional and distraught clients.
- Organizational, computer, Microsoft, Adobe, and all related computer skills.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate will represent the clients through every stage of personal injury litigation, including pre-suit investigations, discovery, pre-trial and trial.
- Will be investigating incident reports, and medical reports of all potential and existing clients.
- Preparing ordinary legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery.
- Will argue in Court and mediation for clients' interests
- Will schedule and take depositions of clients and defendants and expert witnesses
- Attending all relevant court proceedings
- Assist with firm management and other duties as needed
Fast paced environment, comfort with dynamic work flow very important, and empathy for clients a must.
