About this Position
Pinyon Environmental, Inc. is well-regarded in the industry, particularly in the Denver metro area and Arizona. We're known as the top environmental firm in our region, a reputation we've earned through dedication and quality work. Currently, we are seeking a driven Business Development/ Project Manager Leader to join us and play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in Arizona. This position involves collaborating closely with our marketing team and market managers to strategically grow our business, cultivate new client relationships, and nurture existing ones.

You are a natural leader with a proven track record in both business development and project management. Your focus is client-centered, proactive, and community-oriented, embodying our company spirit in all interactions.
You will leverage your background in biology, environmental planning, engineering, geology, or cultural resources to manage projects within your expertise. This includes conducting technical reviews, overseeing client relationships, and contributing to business development efforts such as proposals and fee structures.
In addition to project management, this role requires developing and executing strategic plans with clear goals and metrics. You will lead efforts to identify market opportunities, establish partnerships, and drive business growth in Arizona.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in an environmental discipline (e.g., environmental science, geology, biology, environmental planning, environmental engineering, etc.).
- 5-10 years of consulting experience.
- Proven ability to develop strategic plans and follow through with measurable results.
- Proven business development and project management experience.
- Ability to develop and foster relationships, including internally at Pinyon, and externally with clients, partners, and the community.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
