Our client, a global fortune 500 company, has created a NEW ROLE of Senior Mechanical Integrity Engineer. In this position, you'll be a strategic subject matter expert on Fixed Equipment Mechanical Integrity. This opportunity will be required to travel to manufacturing facilities throughout North and South America for approximately 25% of the time. Candidates will be able to work from home when not traveling. with occasional meetings or business needs at one of the. US plants. For that reasons, candidates must be located within drivable distance to any of the following locations: the Houston, TX area - (Deer Park, TX and Bayport, TX); Northern Ohio - (Avon Lake, OH and Wickliffe, OH); Louisville and Calvert City in Kentucky, Gastonia, North Carolina and Spartanburg, South Carolina, Franklin, WI; Wilmington, MA; Clifton, NJ (near NYC) and Piscataway, NJ; Loveland, CO; Victor, MT; Midland, MI and Corona, CA and Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Relocation assistance is available. This function develops and assists with implementation of Electrical Reliability standards work at selected sites throughout the Corporation. The typical schedule is 7a - 4p or 5p Monday - Friday; however, some calls with international locations will occur outside of these core hours.
Responsibilities:
- Subject Matter Expert and corporate resource regarding physical asset management (PAM) for items such as pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, process piping
- Develop short and long-term corporate equipment integrity strategy using risk-based methodology through inspections, testing, repairs, RCA's, critical assessments, FMEA's, PM's
- Build corporate mechanical integrity program utilizing Plant Condition Monitoring Systems (PCMS)
- Guide the creation of standardized KPI's related to PM programs and required inspections
- Conduct Process Safety Management (PSM) auditing
- Determine Most Effective Technology (MET) for the organization
- Train and mentor teams working in the maintenance and reliability disciplines
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years of Mechanical Integrity Engineering OR 15 years - Maintenance Engineering and working with American Petroleum Institute (API) inspectors
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, engineering technology or related fields
- Strong preference for CMRP Certification
- Must have worked in one of the following industries - chemical (strong preference) or oil and gas
- Demonstrated savings in career or $1M or more
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% in the Americas
- This role does not have any direct reports, but will require leadership skills to mentor site technicians and engineers throughout the Americas

- Salary range is $155,000 - 165,000 plus up to a 20% performance-based bonus
