Description
This role provides analytical support to the Supply Chain leadership team to support decision making, identification, and measurement of KPIs, cost savings programs and other ad-hoc projects. Focus areas encompass all areas of the end to end supply chain including forecasting, inventory, manufacturing variances and freight management for all of the portfolio. This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain Operations.
Essential Functions
Responsible to collaborate with supply chain management team to support the development and performance to short-term and long-term forecasts ensuring alignment to strategic, regulatory, market, financial, and divisional goals. Responsible to collaborate with supply chain management on overall supply chain effectiveness by product line to include but not be limited to inventory analytics to establish min balances, monitoring service levels to ensure OTIF goals are achieved. Responsible for vetting monthly Expired, Excess and Obsolete (EE&O) review.
Provide information to management team on business performance and KPI trends by performing quantitative analysis, trending, and modeling of key operational data with recommendations for corrective/remedial action plans. Follow through to completion or implementation of these plans.
Perform strategic, qualitative and quantitative analysis for programs and operational areas using research, data and analytics to resolve highly complex issues that require significant probing, analysis, and/or interpretation.
Support efforts to create and deliver Executive Summary, KPI and other senior level reporting on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
Build and validate data, simulation and optimization models that diagnose supply chain problems, run scenarios and simulations, and identify best or optimal solutions
Support Master Data Management activities including Item Master, Facility Master, Warehouse & Location Master, Bill of Materials, Routings, and Cycle Count table set ups and maintenance as a back-up.
Provide simulations for each type of change and the impact to manufacturing variances, inventory levels, and budget. As required develops test plans and ensures testing is successfully executed ensuring a smooth transition of system optimizations to production environment.
Generate and present inventory storage capacity analysis to optimize space utilization as part of the annual planning process. Ensure adequate storage capacity is planned inclusive of off-site contingency plans.
Typical Minimum Skills and Experience and Education
Must have strong SAP and IBP experience at a pharmaceutical manufacturing company.
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations or Finance with 5+ years of related experience.
Comprehensive understanding or all Supply Chain dynamics, processes and workflow in a batch manufacturing environment, including Forecast – Source – Make/Buy – Deliver cycles
Excellent knowledge of Supply Chain Management including Inventory management concepts, particularly the role of shelf life and temperature-controlled material in a cGMP environment.
Self-starter with strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills required.
Ability to work in teams, sharing ideas, collaborating, and connecting in a hybrid environment
Proficiency with Microsoft applications, excellent communication and presentation skills.
Education And Skills Requirements
BA/BS required; MBA or Master’s Degree desired with 2 - 5 years of experience in a position directly related to supply/manufacturing planning
Excellent understanding of global supply chain planning as well as financial, strategic and analytical skills
Experience in multiple manufacturing site and/or contract manufacturing environment desirable
Strong Excel skills required
