Immediate need for a Benefits Analyst to support the management and administration of benefit plans for our client, a major Healthcare System in the Fishersville Virginia area. The selected candidate will manage the day-to-day interactions with carriers/vendors/internal employees on escalated issues for resolution. Manage the administration of leaves while working with vendor to ensure timely processing, coordination of benefits, responding to team member inquiries and working with managers to ensure timely return of team members (TM). Respond to TM inquires and escalated issues including: billing issues, leave processes, enrollment, etc. Work with HRIS Analyst on system setup for enrollments, testing, file feeds and reporting. Coordinates the open enrollment process and other benefit projects as necessary. This role requires an in-depth understanding of benefits and payroll procedures, a willingness to partner with compensation to support initiatives, and capability for solving complex problems. This role includes ongoing administration, reconciliation, auditing and project support for benefits programs such as health, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life, disability, time off, retirement, and compensation offerings.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivers occasional in-person and virtual presentations to individual and group audiences as it pertains to their benefits and Total Rewards package.
- Performs routine eligibility audits to assure the HRIS system is setup properly to offer correct benefits and pay offerings.
- Assists the Benefits Manager with general communications and plan member resources.
- Tracks and follows-up on team member benefit and pay related escalations that require research and coordination with other areas of HR and/or payroll.
- Serves as point of contact for benefit event management and system testing for mid-year status changes, hires, terminations, and open enrollment.
- Participates in the analysis, data collection, and document review for major benefit plan and compensation events, including platform migration, plan amendments, total rewards statements, plan surveys, or other similar Total Rewards projects and activities as needed.
- Helps with the development of the timelines and trackers for Total Rewards projects and processes.
- Collaborates with rest of the HR team to plan, modify, and customize strategy roadmaps and assists with integrating the benefit goals within the overall annual HR priority planning.
- Updates training materials, guides, or policies as it pertains to each assigned project.

Required Skills
- AS or BS degree in Human Resources or related discipline
-Minimum of 4 years of Benefits Administration/Analyst is required.
-Must have strong vendor reconciliation / auditing expertise.
-Must be comfortable with public speaking (to both physicians and executives) in regards to Benefits topics such as enrollment
- Must have Excellent/Advanced MS Excel spreadsheet skills
- History of interacting with Healthcare carriers/vendors, along with internal stakeholders for Benefits related questions is critically important
- Comprehensive knowledge of benefits programs and experience working with external vendors, consultants, and brokers.
-Prior Benefits knowledge, HRIS, and report writing experience.
- Healthcare industry exposure considered a BIG PLUS
- Experience in Microsoft office at a medium to advance level preferred
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with all levels of the organization including Senior Management.
-Adept with counseling individuals and families in one-to-one or group settings on their benefit offerings and assisting during transitional moments such as a life events or retirement.
-Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations.
-Any experience with Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) considered BIG PLUS
