We are hiring for a Human Resources Manager role with a successful and well-established catering company near Waukesha, WI. This respected brand has been a leader in the industry for 95 years and is now expanding with exciting new partnerships. We are seeking a driven HR professional to take full ownership of our HR function, revamping and enhancing all related processes and materials. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with ownership, with the autonomy to implement changes and drive improvements as you see fit.
While experience in the restaurant or food service industry is beneficial, we are specifically looking for a candidate with a proven track record of success in core HR functions across any industry. Key areas of focus include hiring, onboarding, employee engagement and retention, compliance and regulatory knowledge, and a commitment to building exceptional teams. Human Resources Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead the recruitment process from drafting job descriptions to onboarding new employees.
- Oversee training initiatives to ensure new hires are fully equipped to succeed.
- Address employee feedback and complaints, fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Develop and implement employment strategies aligned with the company’s growth goals.
- Streamline scheduling practices to ensure optimal staffing for events.
- Ensure HR practices comply with all relevant laws and industry-specific regulations.
- Manage the employee handbook and establish SOPs for each role within the company.
- Lead initiatives to boost employee morale and overall job satisfaction.
- Handle unemployment claims and related proceedings efficiently.
Candidate Criteria:
- A strong background in HR management, with the capability to lead and innovate.
- Ability to revamp and develop HR policies and procedures from scratch.
- Proven success in employee engagement and retention strategies.
- Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory obligations across industries.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for managing employee feedback and fostering a positive culture.
- Experience in streamlining hiring, onboarding, and training processes.
