JOB PURPOSE: The Senior Data Analyst provides analytical support to the organization by collecting, maintaining, and interpreting data to improve decision-making and business practices. A key component of this role is supporting a high-growth, fast paced organization that is quickly developing a comprehensive analytical framework. The Senior Data Analyst will assist a growing team of analysts to conduct research and carryout the analytical requirements of the organization. This requires an ability to carry out the specific functions listed below while being able to provide support in expanding analytical areas as the organization grows.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the analytical team to identify research requirements.
- Regularly monitor and verify the integrity of data sources and assist with effective data management.
- Collect relevant data from appropriate sources including websites, databases, and internal collection tools, especially surveys.
- Validate data and manage data integrity issues and resolutions. Identify errors and inconsistencies in data and implement process improvements, which affect data integrity.
- Assist with creating reports, summaries, and briefing books for various entities. Assist with presenting data and findings to stakeholders, discussing implications, and establishing action items.
- Take a lead role in survey projects. This includes design, implementation, and the reporting of survey results under the guidance of the Director of Assessment and Accountability.
- Take a lead role in maintaining performance results for schools, departments, and the company as a whole in scorecard software.
- Support the analytical team in maintaining and communicating the performance measurement reporting calendar to stakeholders.
- Closely follow specific guidance and procedures to ensure consistency and integrity across all work.
- Support the organization with any future changing analytical priorities with consistent demonstration of abilities to provide analytical support in different ways.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, major in mathematics, statistics, business, computer science, and/or management information systems with at least 5 years' experience in a similar role, Advanced degree/certifications preferred (Masters, Ph.D., relevant industry certifications, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of statistics required.
- Very strong technology skills with an emphasis on quick/nimble computer usage.
- Advanced MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel experience. Knowledge of statistics required with experience using R, SPSS or STATA or similar statistical analysis software required.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and computer systems technology, data Visualization software experience such as Tableau and Power BI is required.
- Python scripting, SQL server, preferred.
- Familiarity with education outcomes and understanding of national education policy issues preferred.
- Passion for urban education reform and unwavering belief that all children can learn.
- Flexibility and availability to provide support to a continually expanding network of schools that requires periodic travel, regular communication while out of office, and ability to respond quickly to changing requirements.
