POSITION SUMMARY
Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a qualified Instructional System Designer / Curriculum Evaluator who will serve as an Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Specialist serving the 351st Special Warfare Training Squadron (SWTS) at Kirtland Air Force Base. As the instructional systems specialist you will be responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating technical training courses, instructional materials, and measurement devices through the analysis of educational or instructional problems or questions.
RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):
- Develop, review, validate, and revise technical training courses and instructional strategies.
- Analyze and develop comprehensive training products across various functional areas and complexity levels.
- Conduct needs analyses and task/learning analyses.
- Organize course content and develop instruction design plans.
- Assess instructional media and materials for correlation with plans of instruction.
- Conduct classroom and training area visits to assess instructional design soundness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
- A bachelor's degree in Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, Learning Design, or a related field.
- Coursework in learning theory, instructional design practices, educational evaluation, instructional product development, or computers in education.
- Experience in online curriculum development and instructional design with a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a virtual team.
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Knowledgeable with ICIS, TTMS, and LMS systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google products.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with AETC course management and instructional design.
- Prior experience as an Instructor Supervisor or training manager.
- Background in Special Warfare and AETC training methodology.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Garrison work environment with occasional fieldwork and extended working hours required.
- Occasional field environments, Tactical observations of Final Exercise Phase (FEP) and other key training phases.
