We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to develop software and hardware solutions for complex engineering tests across our commercial and defense programs. As a RF ATE (Automated Test Equipment) Test Engineer, you must be a self-starter & team player who can take ownership of a project from design to deployment under a rapid pace.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design, development, deployment, and documentation for RF ATE Test Systems (primarily LabVIEW) used for testing RF and microwave devices for space and defense applications
- Interface with product engineers to develop ATE test solutions to validate device performance specifications across various test conditions
- Create test data sheets for customer reporting
- Create, maintain, and update data processing applications in Python
- Use data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI to generate customer data packages
- Maintenance of existing legacy ATE software (Keysight / Agilent VEE)
- Migration and update of legacy ATE software to more modern platforms (e.g. LabVIEW)
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science
- 3+ years professional experience in RF engineering and software development
- Solid working knowledge of RF principles and theories (Spectral analysis, S-Parameters, Noise Figure, Amplitude Linearity, Phase Noise, Spurious, etc.)
- Experience developing automated tests with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, vacuum temperature chambers, RF Switch matrices & similar equipment
- Ability to understand, review, and create documentation (schematics, test specifications, test procedures, etc.)
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with graphical programming languages such as LabVIEW and Keysight / Agilent VEE
- Proficiency with an object-oriented programming language such as Python, Visual Basic, or similar.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills
Desired:
- Proficiency with SQL-based database usage
- Proficiency with Data Visualization tools (Tableau / Power BI)
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, use of revision control tools, and best practices in software development.
Salary: $100,000/yr - $140,000/yr
Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
