We are looking for an ITIL Asset Management Lead for a major firm headquartered in CT. Role is fully remote - but needs to work EST hours. This is a contract to hire role, no third-party resumes please.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, monitor, and record software assets for the organization
- Develop and promote an effective ITAM strategy, policy and best practices within the organization
- Work with business stakeholders to manage the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the IT asset repositories (CMDB or similar)
- Perform verification and auditing of the asset management database
- Make sure the content of the database is accurate
- Maintain an accurate inventory of software assets including version control, licensing details and usage statistics
- Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies related to asset management.
- Perform research on industry best practice and incorporate it with organizational practices
Qualifications
- Strong background in software asset management (licensing, procurement, IT Operations, etc.)
- Strong understanding of ITIL principles and best practices.
- Any experience with IT monitoring (splunk, Grafana, ELK, logicmonitor, datadog, etc) is a plus, not required.
- Experience with ITIL, ITSM or ITOM tools and concepts. Certification/training is a plus!
- ServiceNow experience a plus
- Ability to analyze data and provide insights
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Bachelors degree or similar
