JOB – Senior Electrical Engineer
LOCATION – Atlanta, GA
TERM – Permanent
SALARY – $120,000 - $130,000 per annum.
My client, a leading Engineering service provider to a number of sectors is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic team of Electrical Engineers at one of their Atlanta, GA locations.
A P.E License within Electrical Engineering is a pre-requisite for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Project Leadership: Utilize your deep understanding of engineering principles, industry standards, and codes to lead the technical execution of projects. Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, serving as the electrical subject-matter expert. Your expertise in modern control and power systems—including motor and drive engineering, PLC and distributed control, and power distribution—will be crucial. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality client reports, overseeing the work of others, and conducting hands-on fieldwork while mentoring junior engineers.
- Project Management: Take charge of client relations, project scoping, and assembling project teams. You'll be responsible for maintaining project schedules and budgets, ensuring client expectations are met, and delivering projects on time and within scope.
- Practice Development: Play a vital role in the growth and development of the company's electrical practice. This includes mentoring and developing upcoming engineers, contributing to internal training and knowledge-sharing initiatives, and representing the company in professional organizations, conferences, and technical committees. The candidate must be willing to attend meetings at various offices and onsite with customers, spending approximately 30% of their time travelling.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical).
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience, including sectors such as energy, power generation, rail transit, wastewater, civil infrastructure.
- Proven expertise in electrical engineering applications, such as failure analysis, non-destructive evaluation, system design, and litigation support.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both internal and external clients.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of excellence, integrity, and attention to detail.
