Store Planning Coordinator
Location: Flexible hybrid in Brentwood, TN
Contract Duration: 9/30/2024- 1/10/2025
Job Summary:
The Store Planning Coordinator's primary role is to maintain and update accurate interior, exterior, fixture, and merchandise floor plans for new and existing stores. This position involves working closely with the Retail Store Planner to execute weekly planogram updates, assist in the development of floor plans for new and remodeled stores, and ensure that all layouts align with current planogram assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute weekly Sales Driving Initiative-driven updates to floor plans, ensuring all layouts are 100% in line with current planogram assignments.
- Assist the Retail Store Planner with the completion of floor plans for new stores, relocated stores, and conversion project stores.
- Complete seasonal department updates utilizing planogram assignment information provided by the Space Planner and Retail Store Planner.
- Support the Retail Store Planner in converting prototypical floor plans to store-specific plans.
- Print and manage all floor plans for new stores, existing stores, and conversion project stores.
- Maintain the store information database, capturing necessary store attribute information.
- Conduct weekly validation reporting to guarantee the integrity of floor plan and database information.
- Serve as the primary contact for floor plan-related questions from store team members.
- Assist store team members with layout issues in existing stores, taking into account product mix, store consistency, company merchandising standards, ADA regulations, and sales impact.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in AutoCAD, floor planning, or space planning is required. Experience in the retail industry is preferred.
- Education: College degree or equivalent work experience in a retail environment.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and understanding basic store floor plans.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating sound judgment and independence.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
Travel: Infrequent local and national travel may be required.
