Job Description:
Electrical or Computer Engineering position involving hardware design and programming of industrial automation systems and transformer testing systems.
The position includes a wide variety of control system design and software development. Most systems are based on industrial PCs programmed using VB.Net. Programming of Allen Bradley PLCs may also be involved at times. Some applications involve industrial robots and/or servo positioning systems. Transformer test system design includes computer control of high voltage and high current switches and measurement devices, I/O devices, control of variable voltage and current sources, communication with and control of smart metering systems, and interfacing with databases.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strong Programming skills. Microsoft VB.net or C++, real-world programming experience
- Power systems concentration in school or power systems design experience.
- Control systems concentration in school, or experience with production plant equipment and associated control systems
- Knowledge or experience with motors and motor drives, servo systems, and PLCs
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Degree or a Computer Engineering
- At least two years of experience
