Job Description:

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years in Information Technology
- 5 – 7+ years in Cyber Security designing, implementing & maintaining solutions
- Experience working in NIST framework
- Active or willing to obtain one of the following certifications – CCIE R&S, CCIE Security, JNCIE-SEC, JNCIE-ENT, GIAC Security Expert (GSE), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), or higher
Preferred Qualifications:
- Utility industry
- Cloud Solutions – AWS or Azure
- Bachelors in related field
- Background in development/scripting
Day-to-Day: An enterprise client in Hawaii is seeking a Cyber Security Solutions Architect to join their team. This individual will help plan, design, and maintain solutions for the client’s cyber security infrastructure to include – network, systems, applications, operations technology. This individual will work alongside four Architects and support multiple areas of the business.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new security tools, technologies, and strategies to enhance the security posture.
- Design robust security architectures that are in alignment with the company’s technology and business strategies, ensuring a secure and resilient IT environment.
- Create robust security structures that align with the company’s technology and business strategies.
- Assist with migration initiatives from on prem to cloud (AWS/Azure)
- Proactively identify and assess potential security threats and vulnerabilities to the organization’s systems.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure data protection and compliance with regulations.
- Provide oversight and coordination for incident response and disaster recovery plans.
- Prepare reports and documentation on current security strategies, risks, and compliance for upper management.
- Work closely with IT and other departments to align security measures with organizational needs.
- Train staff members on network security issues, policies, and best practices (as needed)
