Title: Engineering Detailer/Drafter
Location: Lake Forest, IL
Aegis Worldwide is seeking a CAD Detailer/ Drafter to join a machinery manufacturer near Lake Forest, IL.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of professional experience in CAD drafting, particularly in designing parts, products, or assemblies in a mill, lathe, welding, or machine shop environment.
- Associate/Bachelor degree in Engineering or CAD Technology or a similar field
- Demonstrated proficiency in Solidworks / AutoCAD
- Strong mathematical skills, particularly in geometry, algebra, and trigonometry, for accurate design and detailing
- Ability to read, write, and interpret plans and document
- Comfortable with 70% designing and 30% on the shop floor.
Responsibilities
- In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed shop drawings, planning sets, and ensuring the accuracy of designs of machines and parts
- Utilizing AutoCAD and Solidworks
- Recommend design improvements for cost efficiency and enhanced production timelines
- Maintain an updated library of drawings and project documentation
