Title: BI Engineer - Finance & Accounting
Location: Hybrid - San Jose, CA. 2-3 days / week onsite
Duration : 7 months, with extension to 18 months.
Start Date: September 2024 Interview Process: 2 rounds, 1 Technical round (PL/SQL, Whiteboarding sessions, describing projects from End-to-End).
Top Skills Needed:
Data Warehousing experience, creating small Data Marts.
PL/SQL solutions experience, MS Excel.
Experience with NetSuite, Zuora, Coupa or a similar application.
Sr. Level candidate.
Solid Back-End experience focusing on interacting with Partners, determining pain points and learning how they use data, then developing back-end solutions. Not looking for someone with heavy Reporting (Front-End). Looking for back-end skills like ETL, Pipelining experience.
Job Description
· Should have expert data modeling skills including conceptual, logical and physical model design.
· The candidate should be able to participate in the development of Business Intelligence solutions to meet the needs of the Commercial Organizations (Finance, CRM, Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing)
· Evaluate business requirements, conduct a POC and proactively call out data anomalies within the source system.
· Perform end to end data validation for a solution ensuring quality data delivery.
· Develop/performance tune complex SQL (PL/SQL and/or T-SQL) queries and stored procedures.
· Should be well versed with project tracking tools like Jira and GitHub.
· Able to batch processes using any scripting language like pearl, Unix or python.
· Experience with source systems like NetSuite Zuora, Coupa or any other similar Finance applications.
· Candidate should be able to create strategic design and mapping of business requirements to system/technical requirements.
· Candidate should be able to communicate, translate, and simplify business requirements to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders.
Requirements
· Candidate should have experience working with NetSuite objects.
· 7-10 years of experience with Database Development using Packages/Stored Procedures/Triggers in SQL and PLSQL
· 7-10 years of experience in Dimensional Modeling, Star and Snowflake Schemas design and maintaining dimensions using Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)
· 7+ years of experience in SQL performance tuning and optimization techniques.
