Sr. Project Manager
Hybrid (2-3 days on-site); Windsor Mill, MD
12 Month Contract (Potential for full-time employment)
Brooksource is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to assist with Distribution Automation and Technology projects for our Fortune 250 client’s utility local to the Baltimore Area. The DAT team is looking to execute their Operational Technology Security Governance Program (OTSGP) projects. The ideal candidate will serve as an advocate for driving business value and team collaboration. This person will work closely with Engineering SMEs and Project Managers to help build technical documentation, and delivery schedules cross functionally. Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in a project management role, specifically within the Utility, Cybersecurity, Telecom, or related field
- Operational Field Technology (OT) knowledge
- Experience with Microsoft Project for project planning/tracking or similar tool
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and project tracking; specifically working with projects in phases of Planning, Testing, Building and/or Deployment.
- Possesses excellent analytical, organizational, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated and documented success at managing projects
- Ability to work independently and as a team leader including the ability to handle conflicting priorities in a multi-task environment
- Previous experience with Smart Grid or ADMS technology preferred
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Coordination of activities to achieve purposes/workstreams
- Prepare & distribute OTSGP project financial reports
- Manage vendors and interact with matrixed team resources for implementation
- Develop and manage OTSGP project schedules and associated milestones
- Track risks, actions, issues, and decisions including mitigation plans
- Facilitate meetings as needed and distribute meeting notes
- Establish milestones, anticipate issues, and monitor adherence to project scope, requirements, and design documents/schedules
- Advise on cost estimates for associated projects
- Complete a gap analysis and deliver change management based on analysis results
- Working with our client’s operating companies, complete a project workstream whiteboard session to track project planning
- Develop & create status reports for project team to further assess on-time delivery
- Ensure on-time project completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs
- Develop PMO closeout documentation when projects are complete to ensure successful project delivery with all associated milestones achieved
