Mechanical Design Engineer will perform research, design products, and come up with new ideas for products and processes.
Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:
Design products, fixtures, and processes to support product development.
Research new materials, methods, and processes for developing products.
Construct prototypes and confirm design performance through verification testing.
Work with engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing to execute engineering and manufacturing document creation, database, and change control processes.
Create, execute and communicate engineering change orders and product release documentation.
Provide support and documentation for product improvements and for legacy products when appropriate.
Support engineering in refining and enhancing processes for improved accuracy and efficiency.
Develop and execute engineering test plans.
Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
3-5 years’ experience designing products and assemblies.
Experience designing products in a regulated industry.
Experience reading and understanding drawings, work instructions and technical product specifications.
Experience with CAD and solid modelling packages, preferably SolidWorks/AutoCAD.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills.
