The Superintendent is responsible for a specific area of the project and reports to the Project Superintendent. The responsibilities mirror that of the Project Superintendent but are usually limited to the assigned area of the project. These responsibilities are typically safety compliance, craft supervision and production, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, material handling, daily reports, quality control and craft training.
Position Qualifications:
- A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
- Minimum of 5-6 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Strong communication skills.
- Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera and the AutoDesk Suite.
- Experienced in construction layout, blueprint reading and shop drawing reading.
