Job Summary: An SAP IBP Support Functional Consultant focuses on providing ongoing support and optimization for SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) systems. This role involves troubleshooting, issue resolution, user support, and system enhancements. Here’s a detailed job description for this role:
Key Responsibilities:
User Support & Troubleshooting:
Act as the primary point of contact for end-users encountering issues with SAP IBP & business process supported
Diagnose and resolve functional issues, errors, and system malfunctions.
Provide timely and effective solutions to ensure minimal disruption to business processes.
System Monitoring & Maintenance:
Monitor system performance and conduct regular checks to ensure stability and reliability.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system updates and patches, to keep the SAP IBP environment running smoothly.
Monitoring the process chains and executing the validation procedures.
Scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting the planning jobs.
Candidate should be Familiar with ECC master data. (Material master, Bills of materials, Routings, production versions and MRP Areas).
Monitoring and administering the CIF queues issues and running the reconciliation activities.
o Candidate should be Familiar with IBP RTO master data. (Products, locations, resources, PPM, PDS).
Familiar with IBP version management and running the administration tasks like initialization and consistency checks.
Execute master data validation procedures and co-ordinate with business teams for updating the missing values.
Document the weekly planning cycle issues and work with Nvidia Team for fixing the issues.
Familiar with IBP administration activities.
Configuration & Optimization:
Support and maintain SAP IBP configurations, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, and sales & operations planning.
Analyse system performance and identify areas for improvement. Implement enhancements to optimize processes and system efficiency.
Documentation & Training:
Create and maintain documentation related to SAP IBP configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Provide training and support to end-users, helping them understand system functionalities and best practices.
Issue Tracking & Reporting:
Track and document issues and their resolutions using Service now and JIRA ticketing system.
Prepare and present regular reports on system performance, issue resolution, and user feedback.
Collaboration & Coordination:
Work closely with technical teams, business users, and internal IT teams to resolve complex issues and implement solutions.
If required, Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure support activities align with business objectives.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest SAP IBP features, updates, and industry trends.
Recommend and implement system enhancements and process improvements based on user feedback and system performance.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of SAP IBP solutions.
Identify and resolve issues during testing and post-implementation phases.
Training & Support:
Provide training and support to end-users on SAP IBP functionalities and best practices.
Create and maintain documentation related to SAP IBP processes and configurations.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Relevant SAP certification(s) in IBP or related SAP modules is preferred.
Experience:
5 -7 years of experience as an SAP IBP Functional Consultant in Support as well as Project roles. Knowledge of APO will be an added advantage.
Proven experience in supporting and troubleshooting SAP IBP modules such as Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Optimization.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of SAP IBP functionalities and business processes related to supply chain management.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex functional issues.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical teams and business users.
Proficiency in creating and maintaining documentation and training materials.
