TOPS Magazine is Lexington’s Who’s Who, What’s New, and What To Do publication! If you are a talented Graphic Designer with a passion for helping local businesses reach their target customers, we may be the perfect fit for you.
The ideal candidate has experience with graphic design for print publication and digital media. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple local businesses and help steer their marketing campaigns. At the same time, you will help steer the editorial direction of our “must-read” city-social magazine and website.

Job Responsibilities Include:
- Client print and digital ad creation
- Magazine editorial content creation and design
- Manage print ad inventory
- Create compelling advertising and editorial concepts and designs
- Collaborate with members of the sales team and editorial staff
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions with team for content and advertising ideas
- Take each issue “over the finish line” by submitting files and proofing them with our printer and in collaboration with sales team and clients
- Various clerical duties, as needed
Skills Required:
- Familiarity with Google Drive, Sheets, Docs and Slides
- Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Familiarity with cloud-based storage, eg. Dropbox, WeTransfer
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong collaborative and organizational skills
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Strong understanding of design principles and trends
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Portfolio of work
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
