Position type: Direct Hire
Shift: 1st shift (7:30am - 4:30pm)
Salary: $70,000.00 + 10% STI Bonus
Location: Georgetown, KY (On-site)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Initiate and lead Quality initiatives to improve product quality, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Perform raw material qualifications through StageGate
- Assist on the maintenance,and updates of COMPANY'S Quality System to the current ISO 9001 standard.
- Assist COMPANY'S plants in enforcement and performance of the system on a regular basis.
- Provide Technical expertise to other departments on Quality matters
- Become the “Technical Expert” on COMPANY'S product lines.
- Assist QC in out-going product quality verifications when needed
Critical Experience and Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry preferred, but a STEM discipline will be considered.
- 2-3 years minimum experience
- Enjoy working in a laboratory setting
- Wet Chemistry experience
- The ability to gather, process, analyze & report data
- Experience working with raw materials
- R&D experience/project experience
- Formulation Chemistry knowledge & experience
- Ability to write new procedures
- Analytical skills
- Proven track record of accomplishments and of leading teams.
- Six Sigma or DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology a plus
- Ability to formulate a technical strategy to solve complex problems
- Excellent skills in report writing and verbal presentation of technical data (Powerpoint, Excel and Word)
- Capable of working with cross functional teams including marketing, sales, finance, & operations to deliver defined product development activity (preferred)
- Viscosity experience (preferred)
- Manufacturing experience (preferred)
- Excellent Interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.
