Our Opportunity
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Human Resources Generalist - II to join our team. The ideal candidate will plan and perform Human Resources programs and processes in the areas of recruiting, Team Member relations, compensation, benefits, HR policies, and performance management in support of the staff at his/her assigned facility. Also, analyzes data trends or results within the HR function to educate others on opportunities for improvement.
Your Priorities
- Provides overall HR support for the facility in all of the functional areas of Human Resources.
- Partners with hiring managers to determine recruitment strategies for their hiring needs.
- Performs recruiting, selection, and employment process for the purpose of meeting staffing requirements.
- Develops and maintains relationships with recruitment sources for all levels of positions within and outside of the automotive industry.
- Leads and/or participates in the onboarding process and new employee orientation.
- Processes paperwork for all of the functional areas of HR in accordance with established procedures.
- Inputs and maintains human resources data in HRIS and timekeeping systems.
- Maintains all necessary personnel records, and ensures the confidentiality and security of all employee files and other sensitive information.
- Implements, administers, and supports HR programs and policies on a local level.
- Collects and analyzes data pertaining to HR effectiveness, seeking to identify trends or relationships.
- Develops and maintains standard spreadsheets or dashboards.
- Performs complex data manipulation or modeling in support of critical business decisions.
- Works with functional leaders to identify and capture key performance metrics in their areas.
- Addresses employee relations issues, as required, performing inquiries/investigations and facilitating timely resolution of the issues.
- Performs all other duties as required.
Your Background
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline plus 3 to 5 years of experience in a Human Resources position
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
