Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer who can research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, and systems by performing the following duties.
Job Function:
- Designs electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for aerospace and defense purposes per customer requirements in accordance with Military Standards and DO-160.
- Prepares schematics, bills of materials, printed circuit boards, wiring harness, and assembly drawings to support qualification and production build of the design.
- Coordinates with other engineering disciplines and departments to ensure overall system form, fit, function and safety requirements are achieved.
- Designs and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and qualification/production test support equipment. Determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products in accordance with system requirements.
- Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing procedures, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
- Directs and coordinates repair assistance of production and field returns.
- Coordinates with quality assurance to support production test procedures.
- Coordinate with purchasing and manufacturing to support obsolescence issues and verification/validation of new sources.
- Coordinates and prepares engineering change notice (ECN) per configuration management standards.
- Directs and coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

Education and/or Experience
A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university with a minimum of five years of related experience or an Electrical Engineering Technology degree with a minimum of five years of related experience.
