Resource 1 is in need of 2 Data Product Analysts with 7+ years of experience for hybrid remote positions in Oak Brook. One position with be a straight contract and the other will be a contract-for-hire. This positions are hybrid and require 3 days a week (Mon, Tues, Wed) onsite in Oak Brook, IL. This position will require about 70% strong BA skills and 30% technical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Identify appropriate stakeholders in a given department and capture requirements to create Business Requirements Document (BRD), including KPIs, metrics, business use cases, etc.
- Establish data flow diagrams with departments to ensure awareness of how changes made to the data will affect downstream systems.
- Perform data profiling and data quality checks.
- Leverage strong SQL programming skills to created complex queries and pull data from various data sources.
- Collaborate with data engineering and data architecture teams to translate business requirements into technical designs.
- Perform unit testing on finished product(s) and facilitate UAT with end-users.
- Provide training to end-users and ensure adoption.
- Build Power BI dashboards.
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Data Product Analyst.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries for data profiling.
- Strong understanding of Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Experience building Power BI dashboards.
- Basic understanding of Databricks.
- Experience with Confluence and JIRA.
- Experience working with large data sets would be a plus
- Experience working on IoT, subscription-based, or mobile app-based projects would be a plus.
- Strong communication skills are required to interface with business stakeholders.
