Project Engineer - Outside of Allentown, PA
Contract to direct hire
Pay Rate: $50+ per hour, based on experience
Housing paid for first 2-3 months
US Citizenship or Green Card required
This role is focused on achieving and maintaining regional certifications and listings for products and facilities, including both existing and new products. The position involves acting as the primary contact with regulatory agencies, handling all aspects of the approval process from application to certification. The individual will work on a technical level to resolve issues and ensure timely project completion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Securing and maintaining new product listings/approvals and facility certifications.
- Establishing and monitoring product approval projects.
- Serving as a technical representative and primary contact with national agencies and local authorities.
- Developing and maintaining financial metrics, including cost of compliance, budget planning, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Acting as a resource for Technology Managers, Project Engineers, and Product/Project Managers on testing procedures, standards, and product marking requirements.
- Participating in approval agency audits to ensure efficient information flow.
- Overseeing factory production audits and assisting with technical questions and follow-up actions.
- Serving as a technical representative on standards committees and providing input on the development of global/regional codes and standards.
- Performing additional projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent technical experience.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills and professional appearance.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable
- Organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
