I'm working with a leading automation business who are looking for an Applications/Proposals Engineer to join their team. The position will be working on RFQ's, full sales lifecycle, specifications & price breakdowns.
Qualifications :
- 3-5 years of experience managing and coordinating proposals
- Possess the ability to “tell a story” by collecting technical and non-technical information from internal team members and external sources
- Excellent presentation and written/oral communication skills
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-conscious work environment with a proven ability meet deadlines and ensure timeliness of marketing deliverables
Responsibilities:
- Managing the development and preparation of proposals, prequalification packages, presentations, and corporate information packages with the wider sales team
- Gathering and organizing necessary qualification and regulatory documents as required
- Keeping the proposal log/tracker updated and balancing resources to meet proposal schedules
- Ensure high-quality development, printing, and timely delivery of proposals
- Managing annual prequalification renewals (track and prepare)
- Conduct necessary project research and due diligence to support the proposal development effort
- Attend pre-proposal meetings with operations team members to understand key requirements
- Coordinate proposal meetings, reviews, presentation practices, etc. with the project team
- Develop and maintain key proposal content that strengthens the corporate value proposition
- Evaluate RFP’s, RFQ’s, and any other project solicitations to determine what requirements must be met and exceeded to submit proposals to potential clients
