Role Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable Space Policy and International Relations Specialist to provide subject-matter expertise and organizational support within our Policy, Advocacy, and International Division (PAID). This role is pivotal in shaping and advancing space policy, maintaining industry relationships, and supporting both domestic and international initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide subject-matter expertise in space policy, the space industry, and international relations, supporting the strategic goals of the division.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships within the space industry, acting as a liaison between government, private sector, and international stakeholders.
- Draft and contribute to space policy documents, ensuring alignment with industry standards and governmental objectives.
- Organize divisional workflow, offering both subject-matter and organizational assistance to federal staff.
- Assist in planning and executing domestic and international events, such as conferences and workshops, involving participants from government and the private sector.
- Represent the division at relevant conferences, providing summaries and actionable insights to enhance strategic planning.
- Coordinate the internal approval process for briefings, memos, and other documentation, ensuring that all materials meet necessary standards and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in space policy, the space industry, and international relations, with a deep understanding of the complexities of these fields.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
- Expertise: Knowledge of federal processes, event planning, and document coordination, with an ability to manage complex workflows and deadlines.
- Availability: Flexibility to attend and participate in domestic and international events as required.
