Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Atlas is seeking a full-time, Senior Project Manager to join our Bethpage, New York team. The candidate for this position will manage environmental site assessment projects, develop site assessment and investigation work plans and cost estimates, prepare Brownfield and ASTM technical reports, and manage subcontractors.
- Conduct/manage multiple ASTM due diligence investigations and fill the Environmental Professional role concurrently
- Prepare technical BCP reports under the direction of a Professional Geologist
- Prepare work plans, cost estimates, permits, and other technical documents related to environmental investigations and remedial actions
- Communicate with regulators, client contacts, and other related parties to facilitate project execution
- Coordinate technical staff and subcontractors relative to project task execution including drilling, remedial soil excavation, groundwater monitoring, soil gas sampling, indoor air monitoring, and spill response,
- Responsible for project health and safety
- Responsible for project documentation
- Mentor and train junior level staff
- Will require regional travel to various job sites (NYC, Westchester, Northern NJ)
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in geological, chemistry or biological science, or a relevant engineering discipline
- 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting with working knowledge of the ASTM Environmental Site Assessment process and Brownfield Plans (BCP) and related regulations and policies is required
- OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification
- Excellent task management, written and verbal skills are a must
- Experience with implementing and overseeing soil, groundwater and air sampling
- Experience with SPCC Plans, SWPPP, DER 10, NYSDEC part 375 regulations a plus
- A working understanding of New Jersey remediation regulations is a plus.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA or BS in a related field
- 10+ years relevant experience
Technical Requirements:
- Be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and PDF compilation software
- Must possess excellent problem solving, communication and report preparation skills
- Familiarity with GIS tools and/or CAD a plus
Other miscellaneous qualities:
- Experience with EDR’s Parcel and Quire platforms a plus
- NYS Professional Geologist Certification is required.
- 40 hr Haz Mat Certification- OSHA 1910.120,
- 30 hr OSHA Construction Safety Certification
- Driver license required.
