Plant Manager- Martinez CA
The Plant Manager directs and manages all plant operations with overall site responsibilities for production, maintenance, and other production-related activities. The Manager collaborates with Human Resources and Quality Assurance departments to ensure employees are safe, productive, and effective in their work. Additional responsibilities include directing and/or facilitating safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost improvement, employee relations, team building, and performance measurement tasks and initiatives.
Plant Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company and plant-specific goals and objectives
· Model and foster the company culture and values
· Model and facilitate company safety standards and initiatives
· Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards
· Coordinate plant activities to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
· Develop and control profits, plans, and budget
· Identify, implement, and facilitate employee retention initiatives
· Identify and facilitate formal and informal employee development opportunities
· Provide direction, development and leadership to local management and non-management staff
· Instill a culture centered around continuous improvement within all departments
· Develop, communicate and implement a continuous improvement plan
Qualifications for the role include:
· Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience
· Minimum 3 years manufacturing and management experience
· Prior P&L responsibility
