Role Description:
The Engineering Manager role will work under the Plant Manager. This position will be responsible for managing engineering, facilities, maintenance and automation.
What you’ll do:
- Lead teams in development of automation projects and engineering solutions to improve costs and quality
- Analyzes and communicates weekly metrics, monthly results, and quarterly, annual projections
- Provide technical oversight to support facility management and collaborate with project management in the delivery of maintenance projects & construction related activities while ensuring the integrity and reliability of critical functions is not compromised
- Ensure proper closeout and commissioning procedures are followed including the collection distribution and storage of all necessary documentation
- Establish technical direction and oversight for all consulting engineers retained for projects
- Participate in and manage all critical facility annual planning activities and oversee the timely and accurate implementation of strategic plans
- Develop and manage facility operating budgets to achieve targeted savings while maintaining service levels and alignment with the clients’ goals and objectives
- Provide input to annual financial plans and manage capital within approved plans/budgets while summarizing and sponsoring forecasted or unforeseen expenditures throughout the year
- Provide input and justification to multi-year capital infrastructure plan for assigned geography
- Reduce expenses by managing down operating costs with set PM Frequencies / standards while sustaining uptime integrity and minimize agreeable risk
- Other tasks as assigned
What we’re looking for:
7+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing
5+ years of management experience
Plastic Molding Industry experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Experience with agile software and product development
Effective verbal and written communication skills with a diverse team
The ability to travel ~10-15%
