We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Network and Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. Essential Functions
- Design, implement, and manage hybrid environments, including on-premises data centers and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Administer and maintain Linux/RedHat systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Manage on-premise Mitel phone systems and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems.
- Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS and HIPAA security rules in all systems and network configurations.
- Develop and maintain network architecture, including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
- Implement and manage network and systems security policies and procedures.
- Perform regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, systems, and telephony issues.
- Automate tasks and improve efficiency using scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development and deployment.
- Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 5 years of experience in network and systems engineering.
- Extensive experience with Linux/RedHat systems administration.
- Proficiency in managing hybrid environments with on-premises data centers and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices.
- Experience managing Mitel phone systems and IVR systems.
- Hands-on experience with PCI-DSS and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., RHCSA/RHCE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, CCNA/CCNP).
