Job Summary: The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial records. This role involves preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
Reconcile cash and balance sheet accounts and ensure discrepancies are resolved.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Maintain and update fixed asset records.
Support the implementation of new accounting systems and processes.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Sage Intacct accounting software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
