A multi-billion Dollar USD manufacturer is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer (electrical) to join the team. They produce highly engineered products and systems for the Defense and Aerospace sector, this Manufacturing Engineer will identify opportunities to optimize and document manufacturing processes, and apply simpler, faster, cost-effective, and reliable methods for optimization and overall profitability.
$120,000 - $140,000 - Depending on Experience
Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer (Electrical):
- Conduct root cause and corrective action on parts and processes not in control.
- Evaluate new and existing processes to ensure the quality and safety of the job.
- Create and maintain detailed manufacturing and process instructions for complex parts and processes.
- Establish time standards and identify new equipment, tool designs, and processes to improve consistency, accuracy, and cycle times.
- Design tooling, fixtures, and jigs to improve manufacturing and contribute to capital equipment purchases.
- Participate in concurrent engineering to ensure new and legacy designs are manufacturable.
- Collaborate with development engineering to successfully transition new products to production.
- Drive and support Lean Manufacturing techniques in the shop including value stream mapping, cellular manufacturing, set-up time reduction, and overall waste reduction.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Electrical, or other related Engineering field.
- 3 + years of industry experience
- Experience working on automating processes/systems and implementing lean manufacturing.
- Ability to work closely with design, quality engineering, and production teams.
- Experience with electronic assembly and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
