RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead others to apply BI tools to solve complex business problems
2. Meet with Business partners to define and document data requirements for reporting needs
3. Apply Business knowledge and analysis skills to BI domain to define and solve business problem across multiple business Domain
4.Mentor team members on insurance practices to increase overall effectiveness of the team
5.work closely with the project team at the earliest possible project phase to identify, clarify and document data requirements and business impact to assist with impact analyst of the project to warehouse and BI reporting domains
6. Understand and communicate business drivers to help BI developers get more insight in the business needs
7. Establish a data requirements practice to provide clear and consistent documentation, including data flow, reporting specifications, mapping documents and data dictionaries with the goal of clearly defining data use and improving data management practices
8. Be an advocate of data literacy and data goverance efforts
9.Champion the use of an advancement data cataloging within IT and business representatives
10.Listen, participate and perform well in customer service to solve business problems
11. Articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
12.Represent data team working in cross functional teams
13l Interact and collaborate with teams effectively to troubleshoot and resolve production issues
14. Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders
15. Contribute to test planning for projects and enhancements within data Services
16.Particpate in continuous improvements of data governance practices
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
BA/BS in information technology, Computer Science
5+ plus years of experience in the insurance industry in multiple domain
2+ years of experience with BI Development and or tools or related IT experience
Must posses basic knowledge of database,SQL concepts and BI Tools
Logical thinking in making decisions, completing work task ad solving problems
Ability to achieve continuous improvement in the technical and business acumen skillset
Must posses great written and verbal communication skills
