We are looking for a senior system administrator to join our IT team and manage our infrastructure. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, workstations, and network devices. You will also troubleshoot issues, implement security policies, and monitor performance.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and update servers, storage and network devices.
- Manage and administer active directory, group policy, vdi horizon, and vmware environments.
- Administer critical systems including Active Directory, Group Policy, VDI Horizon, and VMware environments.
- Proactively monitor system performance, ensuring high availability and security.
- Conduct regular backup and recovery operations to safeguard data.
- Monitor and ensure technical aspects of disaster recovery/business continuity plans are operational and periodically tested.
- Offer expert technical support and guidance to end-users and team members.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of system configurations and procedural guidelines.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance our IT capabilities.
- Be willing to travel occasionally to support remote operations or attend professional events.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a system administration role, with a focus on senior-level responsibilities.
- Advanced proficiency in managing Windows server and client operating systems.
- In-depth understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, VDI, and VMware.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and as an integral part of a team.
- Experience with high availability solutions is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft, VDI, or VMware will be considered an asset.
