Are you passionate about creating impactful business intelligence solutions? Savills is looking for a Junior Software Engineer with a focus on developing Microsoft Power BI solutions to join our award-winning Savills Software Engineering team. You will support our proprietary software platform, assist cross-functional teams with reporting needs, and help design and develop new functionalities and content for internal clients, with a strong emphasis on business intelligence.
Essential duties &responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence applications using Microsoft Power BI.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards to enhance engagement and lifetime value.
- Innovate and explore creative solutions for software development challenges within the business intelligence scope.
- Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation, training materials, and implementation guides.
- Document and deploy Power BI solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including designers, researchers, and client/account managers to deliver business intelligence solutions.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI development, including DAX and Power Query.
- Fundamental understanding of the Data Modeling (designing a data model, creating measures with DAX, optimizing model performance)
- Basic programming skills in languages such as Python is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Previous experience in a technical or analytical role is preferred but not required.
- Authorized to work in the US with no restrictions.
- Experience working in a technical or analytical role within a commercial real estate environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O module.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure platform.

Certifications:
Microsoft Certification in Power BI or related areas is a significant plus.
